Cleanouts provide an easy way to keep your downspouts and in-ground leaders clean by opening the door and removing any debris / leaves.
The process may also be automated by leaving the door open and using it as a diverter.
Save time and money by keeping your downspouts unclogged, avoiding the need for costly maintenance. A very easy way to remove leaves from downspouts!

Installation

Cleanouts are slightly tapered to allow for an easier installation on any standard round downspout pipe, assuming that the crimped end is still present on the downspout. If not, or if the fit is tight, crimping the end of the downspout and the cleanout (to accept another pipe or elbow) is easily done with crimpers. If those are not readily available, a needle nose plier can work. Another option is to make a few cuts with sheet metal snips.
